Rubber lift pads for car lifts
Rubber lift pads, also called lift arm pads, are the part of the lift that touches the vehicle. They hold the car on its lifting points and protect the sill.
This category contains round pads of 11.7, 12 and 12.5 cm (including Nussbaum, with one or two holes), rectangular pads of 120 × 80 mm, 127 × 76 mm and Rotary 125 × 90 × 21 mm, rubber blocks of 123 × 163 mm in 38 and 60 mm heights and 12 × 8 × 4.1 cm, a square 7.5 cm pad with a pinch weld slot and a rubber foot for a Ø 50 mm hole. Most also come in sets of 4.
How to choose a rubber lift pad
Measure the old pad or the arm plate and check:
- shape and size – e.g. the 12 cm pad with one hole fits plates from 10.5 cm,
- mounting – number and spacing of holes (e.g. two holes about 7 cm apart) or a Ø 50 mm hole for the foot,
- height – 38 or 60 mm blocks to suit ground clearance; the 60 mm block fits Ravaglioli and Werther lifts and has a steel plate,
- lift brand – for Rotary and Nussbaum choose the dedicated pads.
Replace a pad at once if it is cracked, worn smooth or soaked with oil: a slippery pad can shift on the lifting point. Replace the full set so the car sits level. For sills with a pinch weld use a slotted pad: the weld sits in the groove and is not crushed.
Rubber pads for arm plates and for jacks
If the rubber is fine but the arm plate is damaged, see the support base. Rubber pads for workshop jacks are in a separate category: rubber pads for jacks.
