Spring plates for tyre changers
Spring plates for tyre changers, also called leaf springs or spring clips, are flat springs made of spring steel. They push back and hold parts of the machine's mechanisms, for example the gear lever lock.
This category contains left and right spring plates, double-bent TYPE C plates (10 mm wide, 6 mm hole), triple-bent TYPE D plates (9 mm wide, 6 mm hole), L-shaped plates for the gear lever lock and a double leaf spring. Replacements for ATH-Heinl M32, M52, M72, M72Z and Weber Klassik Serie 1021 tyre changers are also listed under those brands.
How to choose a spring plate for a tyre changer
Compare the old plate with the dimensions in the product description:
- side – left and right plates are mirror images and are not interchangeable,
- number of bends – single, double (TYPE C) or triple (TYPE D),
- dimensions – plate width, arm length and mounting hole diameter,
- machine model – for ATH-Heinl and Weber choose the replacement listed for your model.
A cracked or weakened spring plate makes the lever stop returning or stick. Replace it at once: a new plate costs less than a stopped workstation.
