Brush for tyre changers, for applying tyre mounting paste
An angled brush designed for applying tyre mounting paste to the tyre bead during the fitting and removal of wheels on a tyre changer. The contoured head makes it easier to reach the inner part of the tyre bead, particularly in the ‘toe’ area — the section of the bead closest to the rim, which is most prone to curling and damage during operation.
The long handle allows the lubricant to be applied without inserting your hand into the working area of the mounting head. The brush is ideal for use with passenger car, van and low-profile tyres, where the lubricant needs to be spread evenly around the entire circumference of the bead, rather than just at the point where fitting begins.

In practice, the paste should also be applied to the inner edge of the tyre bead. Omitting this area increases resistance as the bead passes over the rim flange and may cause the bead to curl, the tyre to jerk, and the mounting head to be overloaded.
What to look out for whilst working
- If the bristles start to separate into individual strands and do not apply the paste evenly, dry patches will form on the bead. This is indicated by sudden resistance when rotating the turntable or the need to reapply paste during fitting.
- With low-profile and stiff tyres, it is particularly important to cover the entire contact area between the tyre bead and the rim with paste. Simply applying paste to the outer surface of the tyre is not sufficient to ensure the bead slides properly.
- Do not use the brush to pry the bead or to press down on the tyre changer’s components. Damage to the brush head may cause the bristles to fall out and contaminate the paste.
- Residues of dried paste on the bristles reduce their flexibility and cause the paste to be applied in an uneven layer. The next time the brush is used, it may appear that the paste has been applied correctly, even though part of the bead remains dry.

What cables do I need for my two-post lift?
Check the rope termination. If there are any markings on it, the total rope length is very often indicated as well, e.g., L8920. This means the rope length is 8.92 m.
Additionally, to correctly select the rope, you need to provide the following technical parameters:
- Rope diameter – measured in the middle section (e.g., 8 mm, 9 mm or 10 mm)
- Thread – diameter (e.g., M16)
- Thread – length – length of the threaded section (e.g., 14 cm)
