DC24 red audible alarm (buzzer)
Red panel indicator with buzzer for machines and equipment with a 24 V DC power supply. When powered, it alerts the operator with a red light and an audible signal. It can function as a standstill alarm, a control fault indicator, a cycle end signal or an indicator that a safety switch has been triggered, depending on the function assigned to it in the machine’s electrical system.
The unit is designed for installation in a control panel. The black part of the housing passes through the mounting hole, whilst the red front panel remains on the operator’s side. The holes and slots in the housing are used for sound emission; therefore, they must not be covered by a cable harness, tape or sealant.

Selection and installation
Before ordering, you should check not only the voltage but also the diameter of the hole in the panel. In this model, the mounting part is approximately 20 mm, whilst the front has a diameter of 29 mm. A hole drilled for a larger component may not provide adequate support for the body, whilst a hole that is too small may cause stress on the threaded part when tightening.
Connect the unit to a 24 V DC circuit, in accordance with the markings on the housing and the machine’s wiring diagram. Do not supply the indicator with 230 V, nor assume that the 24 V DC version is interchangeable with the AC version. Disconnect the power supply to the controller before working — a brief short circuit in the signalling circuit may trigger an unintended alarm or cause an error in the controller’s inputs.
In the control panels of lifts, mounting machines and balancing machines, it is advisable to install the buzzer so that the red front is visible from the operator’s position and the sound outlets are not located directly next to sound-dampening components. When replacing the buzzer, check that the wires are not under tension — twisting or pressing the housing whilst the wire is connected may loosen the connection inside the buzzer.
Important for troubleshooting: if the buzzer does not work after replacement, the buzzer itself may not be the cause. First, check whether 24 V DC is present at its terminals when an alarm condition occurs, and whether the control system is supplying continuous or pulsed power. A lack of sound whilst the power supply is correct may indicate a fault with the acoustic component, whilst a simultaneous lack of light and sound is often due to an open circuit, a loose terminal or a lack of signal from the control module.
Signs of wear or damage
- the buzzer sounds quieter than before or its sound is intermittent,
- the signal only sounds when the cable or the body is moved,
- the red indicator light is on, but there is no audible signal,
- the audible signal works, but the front panel does not light up,
- the buzzer remains active despite the control signal having ceased.
In a workshop machine, a faulty buzzer may delay the operator’s response to a fault or emergency, even when the mechanical function itself continues to operate. Therefore, when replacing the component, it is advisable to verify the operation of both the audible signal and the red indicator during the machine’s actual operating cycle.

What cables do I need for my two-post lift?
Check the rope termination. If there are any markings on it, the total rope length is very often indicated as well, e.g., L8920. This means the rope length is 8.92 m.
Additionally, to correctly select the rope, you need to provide the following technical parameters:
- Rope diameter – measured in the middle section (e.g., 8 mm, 9 mm or 10 mm)
- Thread – diameter (e.g., M16)
- Thread – length – length of the threaded section (e.g., 14 cm)

What is my machine's model?
